Hope Grove · Brooksville, Florida

A Sacred Garden for Girls and WomenEvery season of life, held in community.

Hope Grove is growing on an L-shaped lot in the heart of historic downtown Brooksville, two blocks from Main Street. What began as Heather's girls' circle is becoming a threshold garden, a grove for gathering, a spiral path for walking meditation, and native and edible plantings tended with a specialist gardening team.

It is a place for stillness, nature, and human connection, open to many beliefs and tied to no single religious tradition.

The Vision

A garden built around the lives women are actually living.

Some seasons ask us to begin. Some ask us to grieve, mother, change, or remember who we are. Hope Grove will make room for all of them, with circles led by peers and trusted practitioners in a garden that helps everyone exhale.

The Circles

Six circles. A lifetime of thresholds.

Ages 6–12

Girls Circle

A place for girls to know themselves, trust their voices, and grow alongside one another.

Coming of age

Rite of Passage

Intentional support for the tender threshold between girlhood and young womanhood.

New beginnings

Expecting & Postpartum

A circle for pregnancy, birth, recovery, and the enormous becoming that follows.

The middle seasons

Motherhood & Midlife

Room for mothers and women in transition to be witnessed, honest, and held by peers.

Stories carried forward

Elder Wisdom

A gathering that honors lived experience and keeps wisdom moving between generations.

A place to bring what hurts

Grief & Loss

Quiet companionship through loss, without timelines, fixing, or having to explain.

Where Things Stand

Right now, it is an empty lot and a real beginning.

The land was just purchased. A thoughtful build-out will take roughly a year, and no garden gatherings are scheduled yet. For now, we are gathering names, hands, ideas, and the people who want to help make it real.

First

Privacy and groundwork

Privacy screening, soil care, cleanup, and preparing the lot for what comes next.

Months 3–4

The gathering spaces

The circle grove and threshold garden begin to take shape.

Months 5–6

Paths and plantings

The spiral walking path and native, edible garden beds are established.

After that

Shade and light

Shade structures and gentle lighting make the garden usable through more hours and seasons.

The existing Girls Circle already meets Monday and Wednesday mornings. Once the land is ready, those girls will be the first to bring the grove to life.

The Garden Plan

The garden lot sits right beside the house at 218 Pryor Street — the two share a border, and both front Pryor Street. From the gate at the street, each space opens gently into the next, creating a garden for gathering, wandering, tending, and arriving.
